Hi, I’m Connor gentry.
I’m Connor Gentry, a Gold Seal Flight Instructor for Single-Engine and Multi-Engine Airplanes, Instrument Airplanes, and Single-Engine Seaplanes. I’m also a Commercial Pilot for both airplanes (single and multi-engine) and seaplanes, as well as an Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI). My goal is to make flight training a safe, enjoyable, and rewarding experience for every student I work with.
I was born and raised in New York, where my love for aviation started at a young age. Whether it was family trips or afternoons at the local airport diner, airplanes were always on my mind. That passion quickly turned into action—by 18, I had earned my Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Pilot License. The following year, at 19, I completed my multi-engine rating along with all of my instructor certificates (CFI, CFII, and MEI).
Alongside my flying, I enrolled at Arizona State University to study Political Science. Balancing full-time academics with intensive flight training during my freshman year taught me discipline and time management—skills that have carried into both my flying and teaching.
Since then, I’ve built over 1,100 flight hours, including more than 700 hours of dual given. I’ve had the privilege of signing off students for nearly every fixed-wing checkride possible, from Private Pilot through MEI. Beyond instructing, I’ve also served as a Flight Standardization Manager and now work as a Lead Instructor at a multi-engine flight school.
Outside the cockpit, I love traveling, discovering new places, and connecting with people from all over the world. Aviation has given me the chance to do just that—and I’m proud to share that passion with every student I train.
